The Hillsfield Line of Patio Furniture got its start in 1984 when Dan Anderson began building furniture while still in High School. An avid reader, he came upon a magazine article with a similar deign and proceeded to build some prototypes. Soon this line of Chairs, Rockers, Tete-A-Tete's, Loveseats, 48" Park Benches, 60" Park Benches and Ottomans were selling well. Five years later Western Red Cedar was the material that took these products to their popularity which is still seen today. Later we began building Adirondack chairs, rockers and benches.
